The Elco Bike Rally, Rollerblade and Walk for Your Heart  

The 2nd edition of the Elco Bike Rally, Rollerblade, & Walk for Your Heart is scheduled for September 10th, 2010.

On the morning of September 10 at 11 :00 am, a group of cyclists will be the first of the three groups to partake in this event intended to raise money for the Heart Stroke Foundation. They will have the opportunity to cycle along a 20 km path. At 1:30 pm, a second group of individuals will have the opportunity to walk 3 km along the beautiful golf course of Brossard. At 2: 30 pm a third & final group of Rollerbladers will be departing for a 5 km spin for this important cause.

At 12:30 pm a health lunch will be served for all the participants and several sponsors will be on hand to offer sample products and services. Before each departure, the participants will be warmed-up by the professional staff of the Mansfield club of Brossard.  The Hearth & Stroke Foundation is grateful to the Elco Insurance Group and the organizing committee: Guy Lacroix, Thierry Benchimol, Nicole Kalloo, Josée Pharand, Diane Guité, Josée Roy and Michel Chevalier

Cardiovascular diseases are the primary cause of death in Canada. In Quebec, there is estimated to be a new case of heart disease every 30 minutes for both men & women.
The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Québec is a non-for-profit, volunteer-based organization, which is unsubsidized and is involved in both research and prevention with the goal of saving and improving lives of many individuals affected by a cardiovascular disease.
